A school isn’t a building; it’s a community. And this community was understandably concerned about the disruption to daily life involved with replacing their existing school building with a new one on the same site. An exceptional process of community consultation and communication helped define and manage expectations, and to generate beneficial results. While the project won significant design awards, the most rewarding was the overwhelmingly positive response to the new facilities by the children, their parents, staff, the Board and the neighbours.
